Solidago rugosa (wrinkle leaf goldenrod)

General info: Solidago rugosa, commonly called wrinkle leaf goldenrod, is a native North American perennial that thrives in medium to wet soil in full sun. Wrinkle leaf goldenrod is a spreading perennial that is typically found in swampy meadows or thickets. This species will get up to five feet tall and is adorned with long strands of small delicate yellow blooms. These blooms are along stems branching off of larger stems which creates a plume of very small flowers.

Landscape uses: Solidago rugosa is a very attractive native wildflower. It’s beautiful blooms could be a striking addition to any moist wildflower garden. These species do not get super tall. Making wrinkle leaf goldenrod a great option for a striking border along the edges of a pond or stream. This goldenrod with its beautiful blooms would also be a perfect addition to a pollinator garden.
