General info: Monarda fistulosa, commonly called wild bergamot, is a North American native perennial that thrives in dry to medium moisture soils in full sun to partial shade. This clump-forming perennial is a part of the mint family and grows best in rocky dry soil. Wild bergamot has striking light lavender blooms and can reach heights up to two to four feet tall.

Landscape uses: Monarda fistulosa is a very versatile and attractive native perennial. Firstly, this species striking blooms attracts lots of butterflies and hummingbirds. Making this a great addition to a pollinator garden. You could also use this species in a wildflower garden, meadow, or naturalized area. Wild bergamot has nice height.
