General info: Aster divaricatus ,commonly called white wood aster, is a North American native perennial that thrives in medium to dry soils in partial shade to full sun. White wood aster originally was from the Appalachian Mountain range and is typically found in dry open woods. This perennial tolerates a wide range of soil types. This clump forming perennial only gets about three feet tall.

Landscape uses: Aster divaricautus stays pretty low to the ground making it a wonderful option for groundcover in a shaded area. White wood aster has numerous white blooms that make it a great choice for a pollinator garden. This striking perennial would also be a beautiful choice for a native wildflower garden or perennial border.
