General Info: Carex radiata, commonly known as eastern star sedge, is a North American native perennial that thrives in moist soil in medium shade. This is an evergreen perennial that typically produces a dense foliage clump about twelve inches tall. Eastern star sedge can tolerate full shade but cannot tolerate dry soils. It is typically found growing along slopes and in moist woodlands.
