General info: Iris cristata, commonly called dwarf crested Iris, is a North American native perennial that thrives in rich moist soils in part shade. Typically found in the eastern U.S in wooded areas or bluffs. This slow creeping perennial prefers partial shade and forms nice strong colonies.

Landscape uses: Iris cristata could be used as an excellent groundcover with its beautiful light blue flowers. The dwarf crested Iris would be a wonderful addition to any shaded areas or areas that occasionally flood. Add this perennial in a rock garden or woodland garden to bring some bright pop of color.
