General info: Iris Louisiana ‘Ann Chowning’ is a native Louisiana iris cultivar. This North American native iris grows best in moist to wet soils in full sun to partial shade. This Iris can be grown in water up to 6 inches deep but can also survive in soil that just stays consistently moist. Ann Chowning has a distinctive singular reddish pink bloom and can tolerate some shade. It can get about four feet tall and has large fan like foliage that stays green and attractive most of the year.
