General info: Osmunda regalis is a North American native fern that thrives in medium to wet soils in partial shade to full shade. This fern can tolerate full sun if the soil is consistently kept wet. The American royal fern typically grows in clumps about 2 to 3 feet tall. In the right conditions they can reach heights of 6 feet tall.
