Packera aurea (golden ragwork)

Packera aurea (golden ragwork)

General info: Packera aurea is commonly called golden ragwork. This North American native perennial thrives in medium to wet soils in full sun to part shade. This perennial is not tolerant to dry soils and only reaches heights up to two feet tall. Packera aurea is grown easily from seed and will continue to self-seed once established.

Landscape uses: This North American native perennial has striking bright yellow blooms and stays pretty low to the ground. This makes Packera aurea a good choice for groundcover. Packera aurea has a very long blooming season making it a very good option for native wildflower gardens or native perennial borders.  Packera aurea would also be an excellent choice for bog gardens or along the edges of streams or ponds since it like moist soils.
